Ask your librarian to suggest books. 5. Look at books awarded Caldecott, Newberry, and Coretta Scott King recommendations. 6. Vary your recommendations and try different genres to hold your child's interest. 7. Make sure that the stories and illustrations present different issues in positive ways..
